  • What does it mean that Palora pitahaya has its denomination of origin guaranteed?
When a "denomination of origin" is guaranteed, it certifies that a product originates from a specific geographic region known for its unique qualities. In our case, it ensures that our produce is authentically grown in Palora, Ecuador—renowned for its distinctive variety of dragon fruit. This certification also reflects adherence to traditional cultivation methods and stringent quality standards that make our product truly unique.
  • Do you purchase or resell dragonfruit from third parties?
No, we do not purchase or resell dragon fruit from third parties. Every piece of fruit you buy is grown exclusively on our farm, ensuring the highest quality and adherence to strict standards. This guarantees that every shipment of Palora Gold Pitahaya reflects our commitment to premium quality and consistency.
  • Do you use chemicals and, or pesticides in during the process of cultivation of your dragon fruit?
Our cultivation process prioritizes sustainability and safety. We primarily use organic fertilizers made from composted organic matter sourced from various Amazonian crops. As for pesticides, we only apply those approved by Ecuador's agricultural regulatory authorities for human consumption. These are used sparingly and according to a strict schedule, ensuring the safety of our harvested fruit. We also perform regular soil and residue analyses to comply with all safety and environmental regulations.
  • What are your environmental practices?
Palora Gold Pitahaya is deeply committed to environmental sustainability. We exclusively rely on rainwater for irrigation, leaving all native water sources and surrounding flora on our farm undisturbed. To further protect the ecosystem, we’ve designated specific areas to prevent any potential impact from fertilizers or other inputs. Our practices prioritize preserving the delicate balance of the Amazonian environment while ensuring the long-term health of our farm and its surroundings.
